This is a top quality universal remote that is run off lithium batteries and sits in a charging dock. It's very easy to use and is user friendly. This is not a piece of junk that you might typically find at your local Wal-Mart. The fact that the 880 is so user friendly is what makes this universal remote so popular. The LCD screen on the Harmony 880 is very easy to see and is brightly lit. You can set the LCD screen to your favorite items which allows one touch control. One touch control is very popular. Can you imagine sitting on the couch and operating several devices in your home with a one touch LCD screen. Technology has come a long ways now with universal remotes and Logitech is leading the charge. Programming is very easy and you can visit the web site for instructions.

You select the functions that you want the Harmony 880 to do. It does so many things and plays so many devices. For example, Play a DVD. Listen to a CD. Watch a laser disc. Play video games. It even comes with a help screen which is totally cool. The help screen is in big bold letters also which helps everyone.

One of the coolest features about the 880 is that you do the programming through the internet. You long on to the Logitech web site, you will see all of the options on the web site for home theater. The Logitech 880 website will ask you what type of amplifier you have and what type of TV you have. It will ask if you have a DVD player or what type of gaming system you have. It will set up the Harmony 880 based on the answers you give.

Once you do that, you will set up different activities. For example, you want to watch a DVD, it will ask you about your TV settings. It will ask you if you use an amplifier for the sound or if the sound comes from the TV. After you do your settings, the Harmony 880 becomes a one touch control. You immediately get to use the device you set up.

The Logitech 880 Harmony website updates the remote. It can even update an X-box 360 if you set a button for it on the universal remote. Because of the multitude of features on the Harmony 880, you will rarely find any complaints. Everyone loves the Logitech 880. Every now and then a button might stick on the 880 Harmony but that is rare.

The Logitech Harmony 880 will virtually control everything in your living room. The 880 will control your satellite box, your cable TV box, computers, just about anything you can throw at it.

The large color screen is located at the top of the remote and the remote is ergonomically designed to fit well in your hand. One touch folks and everything in your living room is set up perfect.

If you have home theater, you definitely need the Logitech Harmony 880 Universal Remote. The convenient USB port is located on the front of the remote control. Once you have your online account set up at Logitech it's a simple matter of setting up the 880 remote control. So easy your Grandma can do it. Once you set up the Logitech 880 once, you never have to do it again unless you add equipment to it.

If you ever add anything new or have any problems, just go online where all of your settings are saved. The web site will reset the settings on your harmony 880 in a snap. The web site will automatically update the remote. The buttons might could be a tad bit softer but that is really not a concern to me.
